I take a rusty circular saw blade and turn it into a razor-sharp cleaver — from salvage to finished tool. In this video I’m rescuing a corroded blade, reshaping it, and bringing back the edge with careful metalworking techniques. If you love bladesmithing, DIY metalwork, or satisfying before-and-after builds, you’ll enjoy this transformation.

I keep my process realistic and honest: there’s rust, sparks, and a lot of grinding, but also a rewarding payoff at the end. I also emphasize safety — always use proper PPE, follow tool safety guidelines, and check local laws about making or owning bladed tools. This video is meant for inspiration and demonstration, not as a step-by-step weapon-making guide.
To make it I used my homemade tools:
- How to Bluing a Knife Blade at home
- 2×72 belt grinder
- Restored Old Drill Press
- Angle Grinder Stand
- Propane Forge Burner
- Plywood Bench Vise
- DIY Knife Bevel Jig
